AshbyWinter:
Japan didn’t begin for me with buying a plane ticket, but with pressing “Play” on YouTube.
Ever since I was sixteen, I’ve been watching travel videos. Traveling to different countries always felt out of reach for me. I dreamed of starting to travel to discover the world. The one country that has always felt the most magical and unusual to me is Japan. You probably know that here everything works a little smarter, a little kinder, and just a little stranger- in the best possible way. I’ve even gathered quite a list for myself on how to behave in this country so as not to become that dreaded “tourist from hell”😀 I dream of Tokyo with its neon streets and the gentle glow of lanterns at night.
I want to see the morning mist at the foot of Mount Fuji, wander through the quiet streets of Kyoto, and lose myself in its gardens. I long to try real Japanese sushi, step inside tea houses, and one day stand beneath blooming sakura trees.
For me, a trip to Japan is not just a journey- it’s the meeting of a dream.
I want to see it all with my own eyes.
That’s why such a trip would be the most precious gift for me.
Not a thing, not an object, but a memory that would stay in my heart forever💕
